Flightdeck Technology is a new force in the manufacturer of flight simulators for both airlines and training establishments.

Our devices are built on an individual type-specific basis, accurately representing the particular aircraft. All controls, switches, and avionics displays are identical to the respective real-life airliners. Accurate flight models are tailored to the individual aircraft and our visual systems are amongst the best in the industry.

In fact, short of the motion platform, our simulators are virtually identical to their Level-D counterparts.

But there is one important difference!

Much as low-cost airlines have brought about a massive reduction in the average price paid by passengers for their flights, Flightdeck Technology is set to do the same in the flight simulator market.

Our products are built to allow the majority of training that can be carried out on a Level-D simulator to be undertaken but at a fraction of the cost of such a device.

In fact for the cost of one Level-D flight simulator, Flightdeck Technology can supply ten type-specific training devices certified to at least FNPTII level.

Basic Specification

• Fully-functioning fixed-base flight simulator
• Complete “glass-cockpit” including accurate avionics specific to type
• Overhead panel with fully-functioning controls for engines/APU/hydraulics, fuel etc as well as NAV radios and simulated COMs radios
• Original rudder, yoke and throttle quadrant
• All avionics including autopilot (with Autothrust) are fully-functioning and accurately modelled
• Dual Flight Management Computers (FMCs)
• Sophisticated 5-screen 180 degree visual system with day/dusk/night visuals
• Integrated instructor’s station allowing a wide range of system malfunctions and scenarios to be modelled
• Realistic sound effects including engine, interior, flap and gear sounds etc
• Realistic flight model based on type in question
• Motorised throttles, spoiler and trim wheel
• Motorised flying controls to give control loading effect
• Under-floor motors to give motion cues to Level A certification standard
• Certification to UK CAA FNPT2 level or Level A depending on customer’s requirements
• Certification to FAA or JAR equivalents also available

Simulator Hire

FDT currently operates a Boeing 737-800 flight simulator (with a second under construction). Both are undergoing preparation for FNPTII certification (available from Autumn 2007).

Time is available on both simulators for hire on a dry hour basis. The cost includes full use of our training centre facilities as well as engineering support. Both simulators are equipped with an easy-to use instructor station and a sophisticated visual system.
